Day 4: Books of 2014 I Won't Miss

Let's get this out of the way since we all know its true:

Words of Radiance (The Stormlight Archive, #2)

WORDS OF RADIANCE - Because I had expected to read this in November.  When that didn't happen I cried (inside) and then vowed to be the first to buy it (just as I was for The Way of Kings) at my local Barnes and Noble.  That's right I'll pay retail for a hardcover just so I can read it quicker.  Soon as I have a solid pub date (and it doesn't change) I'm requesting off at work.

Okay now for everything else.

The Broken Eye (Lightbringer, #3)
The Broken Eye - Brent Weeks has earned my love like twenty times over with his writing
.  While I'm less in love with this series then his Night Angel trilogy (my love for Durzo is all encompassing) I'm still very much invested in the outcome.
Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7)

Magic Breaks - Aside from how sad I am that it'll be in hardcover for the first time (dangit), I'm so excited for this new Kate Daniels book.  Like so very excited.  Guys we are hitting the endgame for certain plot lines that I've been waiting to know about for like ever.
The Fifth Season
The Fifth Season - New NK Jemisin!!! And isn't the cover gorgeous? Also frequent extinction level events? This is the lady that gave me world building that I still find new experience with each time I go back to the books.
Steles of the Sky (Eternal Sky, #3)
Steles of the Sky - Oh hey how you doing Gheghis Khan like fantasy with gorgeous cover art and lots of diverse cultures to read about.  Yes please come out sooner so I can love you all the more.

The Caller (Shadowfell, #3)
The Caller - I'm enjoying the Shadowfell books, though some parts are more problematic of course.  Still if the Third book is still holding my interest I love I'm all over it.

The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5)

The Assassin's Blade - The short story collection of Celaena's life before Throne of Glass, of course I want this.  My love for Chaol notwithstanding, this is where I can read about Sam still.  He will forever live on in my heart.
Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1)

Dorothy Must Die - After reading the prequel novella ("No Place Like Oz") I'm going to really enjoy watching Dorothy be taken down...Have you guys read that prequel? No?  Look I was never an Oz fan - movie is enjoyable enough, but after seeing The Wiz (with Michael Jackson as the scarecrow from the 80's?) it joined the ranks of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan as my most terrifying literary fears.  So yes.  Dorothy Must Die.
Sparrow Hill Road (Ghost Stories, #1)
Sparrow Hill Road - This sounds really really intriguing and I'm starting to really really like almost everything McGuire does..from what I gather this kind of plays with the trope of the Ghostly Girl Hitchhiker urban legend (don't know it? Check it out here).

Meanwhile here are the books I won't miss without covers:
Ebon by Robin McKinley - sequel to Pegasus, been waiting a while for it...
"Girl of Fire and Thorns" Stories by Rae Carson - I suspect this is all the short stories previously published on Kindle.  I want.
"Untitled Throne of Glass 3" by Sarah J Maas - come on you knew it would be here right?
"Untitled Study Book #4" by Maria V. Snyder - more Ixia! More and more and more!
As You Wish: Tales of the Princess Bride by Carey Elwes - um...yes. Now. Thank you!
The Way of Shadows Graphic Novel from Yen Press - DURZO IN COMIC FORM. Er...I mean Kylar's story of course. Not Durzo. Totally Kylar's story. Seriously.  Not
