Angry Robot Books

Ordinarily you wouldn't see me lauding a book publisher that I have no experience with. That just smacks of asking for it. But, due to my stalking poor Kylie Chan visiting Australian author Kylie Chan's web page once a week I found out that her Dark Heavens trilogy (which I first learned about from my fellow blogging friend Tez, who is lucky enough to live down under and who has access to such authors as Kylie Chan and Glenda Larke first hand who I can onlyhope come to America but that's not here or there) has been licensed for distribution from Angry Robot Books, no it has nothing to do with the production company (to my knowledge) and is an imprint of HarperCollins.

Basically they want to bring fresh adult fantasy and science fiction to the new generation that has grown up on X-Box, , re-vamped scifi classics (Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Star Trek, etc) and also all you long time enthusiasts. They're current fleet of authors are some interesting folk that take the gamut from noir historical scifi to chinese inspired fantasy and everything you can possibly think of in between.

The Dark Heavens Trilogy comes out in May, June and July 2010, with May seeming to be when a lot of their American release titles drop. So head on over to their website, join the army and don't worry I swear they're not Cylons in disguise.
