Buffy, Brandon and Fandom Craze

For the 2011 year I won't be doing any set Reading Challenges.  I tried this year to do some and I ended up losing interest in reading because I tried to stick to them so much.  Instead next year I'll be focusing on three personal (ish) Challenges:

art (c) Jo Chen

When: January 4th to December 27th, 2011
Who:  Nikki Stafford (Nik at Nite), who has written several fan-related guide books to shows like LOST, Xena and Buffy.
How: All year long, every Tuesday, she'll make a post about 1-3 episodes from the Buffy Series till all 144 have been watched.
Links: To see the actual schedule breakdown go here, see the list of contributors and see her original post.
Why: Joss Whedon still has such an impact on me, culturally speaking, and I tend to rewatch the entire Buffy series by myself once a year anyhow so how much cooler will it be to do it with OTHERS?

When: January 1st to December 31st, 2011
Who: Me
How: All year long, every Wednesday, I'll post a review of a Buffy book, graphic novel or fandom related thing

Why: I have somewhere around 3 dozen Buffy (and Buffy related) books.  Its a fun way to prolong the Buffy-fest basically.
When: January 1st to December 31st, 2011
Who: Me
How: One Book will be re-read, analyzed and discussed for a two month period
Why:  This is obviously NOT Buffy related, however to spare myself the pain of waiting for the second book in The Stormlight Archives (which I believe is not due out until 2012, I've actively blocked the knowledge from my brain) I'm going to devote myself to re-reading all of his (solo) books and doing in-depth analysis of each.

He has, not including the Alcatraz books (which I don't own and I really should), six novels out not tied in with The Wheel of Time (which will not be included in this exercise since...no.).  I'm going to devote 2 months to each book and do something different since I've reviewed them all--I'll instead post my thoughts as I re-read them, my notes and observations.  They'll be more sporadic in those posts.

Also, depending on my financial situation throughout the year, I'll be trying to get my hands on the Graphic Audio releases of both Warbreaker and Elantris.  Graphic Audio, for those who don't know, make pretty awesome full cast recordings of books.  Including music and sound affects.  I own almost all of their Rogue Angel series of CD's and hope to get the Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks editions at some point.

If there's any interest, then I'll open this up to a Mr. Linky so we can all talk and post.  Otherwise--I'm going solo and I'm going to go crazy!

I am, per usual, trying to get my NaNo on.  I'll have the counter to the side to show my progress.
