Sunday Sendup 23

So here's my week...

Finished:
Lady Alexandra's Excellent Adventure by Sophie Barnes - ugh. I'm not happy I share a name with her.

Fifty Shames of Earl Grey by Andrew Schaffer - Seriously fun book, and hey I convinced my Aunt to pre-order a copy!

Demon Catchers of Milan by Kat Beyer - not quite what I was expecting, but still enjoyable.

Of Magic and Engineering by Lyn Brittan - o.o I'm so confused by this novella I just don't know where to begin.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas - If I was to gush about this book anymore then I already do, Maas may get a restraining order against me as a precaution.

Started Reading:
Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan - I'm giving this another go because I really do want to enjoy it.

Enchanted by Alethea Kontis - I'm excited for this fairy tale-esque young adult fantasy.

Review:
Succubus Lost by Tiffany Allee - her second OWEA novella, this time featuring Marisol.

When You Give a Duke a Diamond by Shana Galen - oh historical romance, I will always return to you in my moments of need.

Kiss of Steel by Bec McMaster - anyone with me at BEA this year probably saw me eying the post with glee.  I can't WAIT to read this.

Won or Bought:
DVD's:
Stargate SG1 Seasons 8-10, Continuum and Ark of Truth - my favorite three seasons (w00t Vala/Daniel)
Sliders season 3 - and so ends collecting this series, seasons 4-5 don't exist to me
The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking - one of my favorite movies as a child
The African Queen - my Bogart collection is almost complete!

From Used Book Stores:
The Heretic Queen and Nefetiti by Michelle Moran - the nifty pretty trade paperback covers
A Reluctant Queen by Joan Wolf - I love Queen Esther novels

Kickstarter Reward:
Grim Tides by T.A. Pratt - the next novel in the Marla Mason stories, such a pretty cover too!

Note to the Unwary - I'm running a contest that starts Wednesday so keep a look out!

Lesson Learned This Week - If the cute zip line attendant does things that freak me out, mentioning how I will take him down with me if I fall is not a great way to flirt.
