As many of you are aware there are books aplenty at Book Expo America (BEA). Now granted most of the books seem to be primarily young adult in the last so many years, but that category of books has sky-rocketed so it makes sense.
In no discernible order, based on what was the most current Autograph Area listing for books (once Booths go up I'll make a post for those too), here are my Top 13 books I want:
I Will Pay the Iron Price For These
To no one's surprise Crown of Midnight, Sarah J. Maas' 2nd Celaena book (after Throne of Glass) is on the list. Hero by Alethea Kontis and 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil are both also eagerly anticipated--though they couldn't be further from similar. Hero is a fairy tale fantasy (she ain't no damsel in distress though) and 3:59 is all set to be another thriller that will creep me out.
COME TO ME MY PRETTIES
Antigoddess by Kendare Blake (about the old Gods learning eternity isn't perfect) and Vicious by V.E. Schwab (superheroes! evil!) both speak to my chaos loving self, Rush by Eve Silver (about a girl playing a deadly game) is also high on my list because of novelty factor. Miss Grimsley's Oxford Career by Carla Kelly is the oddball because I own this--its from 2 decades ago, but it was one of my FIRST regency romances so yes I want to meet Carla!
Well These Might Be Cool
These Broken Stars by Megan Spooner and Amie Kaufman interests me...but idk. All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill ALSO looks interesting because of the time travel aspect. Meanwhile Relic by Heather Terrell has twins and fantasy! The Look of Love by Bella Andre is a maybe simply because I do indeed have the Kindle edition, so I know I'll enjoy it.
Anybody want to sway me one way or the other?
